No one routinely. A filed notice (where still required) excuses the child from curriculum, testing and instruction-time requirements.
Once, to the district of residence. USBE (live 2026-08-19): notice is only required once for each child. H.B. 209 (2025) removes the affidavit when homeschooling begins at the start of an academic year.

NOTARIZATION WAS REMOVED by SB 56 (2024), effective 1 May 2024. H.B. 209 (2025) then removed the affidavit itself for students who begin at the start of an academic year. USBE still says the parent must notify the district once.
